New interactive customer site unveiled (22/08/06)

BDML Insurance Solutions launches management information facility for it’s Social Housing partners

Today (22nd August 2006) BDML Insurance Solutions unveiled its new management information tool designed for its public sector partners.

The service enables clients to view full claims and financial information in order to establish how their schemes are performing. In an environment where risk management is absolutely key, ease of access to this type of data is a real advantage. The site will be controlled and managed by BDML with updates being added monthly allowing users to access information whenever they choose, fitting in with their own management reporting responsibilities.

The service is accessible via an Internet connection and is housed in a secure password protected environment.

The site also includes contact numbers, policy documentation and very soon, an interactive training centre which will allow many more people access to training material helping increase awareness amongst staff.  In a regulated environment, competency is absolutely vital and the new training centre will allow BDML to manage staff training much more efficiently and effectively.

Talking about the development of this facility BDMLIS said “one of the biggest frustrations for our clients has been the lack of quality, meaningful information provided by the insurer. Quite often insurers and brokers are not forthcoming  or unable to provide the level of information required, particularly when a scheme is performing extremely well... We have spent a considerable amount of time listening to the needs of local authorities and have used this feedback to develop the new facility which is evolving and Susie added “Prior to BDML Insurance Solutions entering the market last year, there have been no new entrants into this sector for some time. As a result, there has been limited competition with the products and services provided by brokers and insurers remaining relatively unchanged. BDML are using technology to develop our products and services and increase efficiency and servicing. We are so pleased to be in a position to use our resources and internal expertise to add value and drive change for the benefit of the organisations we are working with”.

Barry Neaves, Group Finance Director of First Wessex Housing Group, commented "We have been very impressed with the new information and training tool provided by BDMLIS.  We can access and download our scheme data whenever we choose by using a simple password.  This facility will undoubtedly assist with the internal management of our scheme as we can monitor on a monthly basis the scheme performance and claims information without having to wait for reports to be compiled.  The training forum will make training our staff that much simpler and in a regulated environment where you have to demonstrate competency, we will be able to prove at the click of a button the training programmes undertaken".
